Alonzo King LINES Ballet makes its Kennedy Center debut with an elegant, soulful work created in collaboration with Grammy Award^®–winning vocalist Lisa Fischer and Kennedy Center Artistic Director for Jazz Jason Moran, who join the company to perform live.

Participants in this master class must be age 16 years or older.

Launched as a partnership between Mark Morris Dance Group and the Brooklyn Parkinson Group, this program offers internationally acclaimed dance classes for people with Parkinson’s Disease in more than 250 communities and 24 countries. 

This special Dance Sanctuaries serves as a kick off to the Conflux events from National Black Theatre. Over three classes, learn the technique and history of the Ring Shout from Master Instructor of the Gullah Geechee Ring Shout, Griffin Lotson.

Members of New York City Ballet will lead older adults of any ability through a dance warm-up and movement combinations inspired by repertory in the current season.
