Join us on Saturday, May 11 for the Opening Night of Puccini’s final work—Turandot! Featuring a compelling new ending by Grammy Award®–winning composer and playwright Christopher Tin and acclaimed playwright and screenwriter Susan Soon He Stanton.
A glorious production directed by the Washington National Opera’s own Francesca Zambello, Turandot will feature a diverse and talented cast to include Ewa Plonka, Marjorie Owens, Yonghoon Lee, Jonathan Burton, Peixin Chen and more. Celebrate the opening night with the Washington National Opera as powerful princess Turandot plays by her own rules and Prince Calaf sings one of the world’s most famous arias ever written—“Nessun dorma”.
Our most generous event sponsors will also enjoy the added benefit of an invitation to an Embassy Dinner held the evening before. Dinners are hosted at various Embassies and Residences throughout the Nation’s Capital.
