Open to the general public, with no previous experience required, Gaga/people, with instructor Shamel Pitts, classes offer a framework for users to connect to their bodies and imaginations, experience physical sensations, improve their flexibility and stamina, exercise their agility and explosive power, and enjoy the pleasure of movement in a welcoming, accepting atmosphere.

Open to professional dancers and dance students, Gaga/dancers deepens dancers’ awareness of physical sensations, expands their palette of available movement options, enhances their ability to modulate their energy and engage their explosive power, and enriches their movement quality with a wide range of textures. 

Dance Master Classes at the Kennedy Center offer an opportunity to take participatory classes (sorry, no observers allowed) led by artists from Laboratory Dance Project.

Participants in this master class must be age 16 years or older.

Founded in 2001 by choreographer Shin Chang Ho, Laboratory Dance Project is famous for its highly physical, acrobatic choreography. The Korean ensemble blends martial arts, hip hop, and contemporary dance for stunningly unique creations that have brought critical acclaim.
