The multi-award-winning Lena Jonsson Trio continues to break new ground internationally with its unique mix of deeply rooted Swedish folk, jazz, American old-time, and electro-acoustic sounds. Lena Jonsson’s ability to balance innovative artistic sensibilities, the sparkling joy of life, and the charisma of a rock star has made her one of Scandinavia’s most visionary musicians. Jonsson creates a virtuosic yet playful trio with guitarist Erik Ronström and bassist Krydda Sundström. The trio won Artist of the Year at the Swedish Folk Awards for both 2021 and 2022. Also in 2021, their album Stories from the Outside won a Swedish Grammis, the Manifest prize, Album of the Year by LIRA Music Magazine, and Song of the Year by Swedish radio. Their most recent album, Elements, was released in June of 2023.
For all Millennium Stage performances, a limited number of advance reservations are available on a first come, first served basis. Advance reservations do not guarantee a seat, and patrons are encouraged to arrive early.
