“Gorgeous music.”
—John Platt, WFUV
Dario Acosta Teich, a virtuoso guitarist and composer from Argentina, started his musical journey in the northern province of Tucumán. Born into a musical family immersed in folk culture, he grew up playing in peñas (folk concerts) and guitarreadas (informal folk gatherings). Teich’s fusion of roots-jazz expresses his ongoing quest for a personal musical language that combines Argentina’s sonic diversity, traditional rhythms, improvisation, and contemporary composition. Teich has released seven albums to date, with praise from outlets including NPR, Argentina’s La Gaceta, and WFUV folk radio icon John Platt. Teich is now releasing Tierra Infinita, a testament to the perpetual evolution of Argentine folk music over generations. The album includes special guest Colombian vocalist Marta Gomez and Pipi Piazzolla, grandson of the great tango composer Astor Piazzolla.
For all Millennium Stage performances, a limited number of advance reservations are available on a first come, first served basis. Advance reservations do not guarantee a seat, and patrons are encouraged to arrive early.
