Ann Savoy comes to our nation’s capital to celebrate the release of her new album on Smithsonian Folkways, Another Heart. Joined by the album’s producer/musician Dirk Powell as well as other top Louisiana musicians, the concert will take you on a trip of Ann’s life on the east coast (Richmond, VA) in the 1970s as well as original songs and other favorites. Though Ann Savoy is mostly known for her vital performances as a Cajun musician with the Savoy Doucet Cajun Band, the Savoy Family, and the Magnolia Sisters, on this occasion she is appearing as her other American self, much like her musical persona on the Adieu False Heart album with rock icon Linda Ronstadt. Come celebrate this American artist/musician and her new album, and pick up a copy for yourself!
For all Millennium Stage performances, a limited number of advance reservations are available on a first come, first served basis. Advance reservations do not guarantee a seat, and patrons are encouraged to arrive early.
