Program

You and Kanan are both tired of all his existential whinging—why are we here, what does it mean? Yuck. Who cares? How many specials can you try to dissect the fundamental nature of the human experience? Enough, right? Let’s party.

What Is This? is about nothing at all. So far. But what does nothing mean? What is emptiness empty of? Are thoughts thieves in an empty house? Oh, shut up dude, stop it.

Disclaimer: What Is This? is a stand-up comedy show by Kanan Gill. The show is fully in English.

Kanan Gill

Nominated for “Most Outstanding Show” at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, 2024

What are the ways of being in the world—can you manage to be here now, or are you busy then?

For his fourth comedy hour, Kanan examines the many ways of being, the very idea of being, and the ultimately unsatisfactory nature of experience.

After his last special Is This It? (it was), Kanan now returns with What Is This?

Kanan’s previous specials include Yours Sincerely (Netflix), Keep It Real (Amazon Prime Video), and Is This It? (YouTube).
