Based on the iconic 1969 album soon to be celebrating its 50th anniversary, this semi-staged concert production of The Who's Tommy is an exhilarating story of hope, healing, and the human spirit. This five-time Tony Award庐鈥搘inning one-of-a-kind musical tells the story of the pinball-playing, 鈥渄eaf, dumb, and blind鈥 boy who triumphs over adversity.
Casey Cott, star of the hit CW series, Riverdale, will play the title role. Tony Award庐 winner Christian Borle (Peter and the Starcatcher, Something Rotten!) and Mandy Gonzalez (Hamilton, In the Heights) will co-star as Captain Walker and Mrs. Walker, respectively. The cast will also feature Manu Narayan (Merrily We Roll Along, My Fair Lady) as Uncle Ernie, Kimberly Nichole, a fan favorite on season eight of NBC鈥檚 The Voice, as The Gypsy (鈥淎cid Queen鈥), and Wesley Taylor (SpongeBob SquarePants, The Addams Family) as Cousin Kevin. Additional casting to be announced.
