U.S. Capitol Concerts

The NSO is part of two annual traditions – the and – the premier celebrations of America’s most important holidays broadcast annually from the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C.

The National Memorial Day Concert has become an American tradition, honoring the military service and sacrifice of all of our men and women in uniform, their families at home, and those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.

On July 4th, America’s national Independence Day celebration honors our country’s birthday with an all-star salute.

Both concerts are broadcast live on PBS as well as to our troops serving around the world on the Armed Forces Network. A Capitol Fourth can also be heard live on NPR member stations nationwide.
