opened in fall of 2018 with a mission set forth to promote individuality in Irish dance through technique, teamwork, & tradition. The company achieves this goal by combining expert instruction led by some of the best professional Irish dancers in the world with a focus on student inclusion and community building. Based in a beautiful, spacious studio in Tenleytown, District Irish Dance aims to bring out the best in every dancer, offering a well-rounded, rewarding Irish dance experience for all.

As Washington, D.C. hosts WorldPride 2025, the NSO proudly presents a concert celebration of love, diversity, and the vibrant spirit of the LGBTQ+ community. Joined by iconic songwriter John Bucchino and special guests, the NSO performs the orchestral premiere of Bucchino’s choral work A Peacock Among Pigeons, along with music by groundbreaking LGBTQ+ artists, allies, and more!
