Kennedy Center Recognition Programs
Kennedy Center and National School Boards Association (NSBA) Award Program
The 2020 Application will open in Fall 2019.
This national award recognizes districts that have included four out of the five major artistic disciplines - visual arts, music, theater, dance, and media arts - in their programs.
There is no limit on the number of applications per U.S. state that may be submitted to the Kennedy Center and NSBA for adjudication. Final selection is made by a national panel of arts educators and arts administrators including representatives of the Kennedy Center and NSBA. The national award is presented every year at the annual national conference of the NSBA.
Kennedy Center and Women in Government Award

²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵÃâ·Ñ°æapp and Women in Government (WIG) are pleased to recognize a woman state legislator for outstanding support of the arts in her state. As the nation's performing arts center, the Kennedy Center is delighted to partner with WIG to encourage support of the arts at the state and local level through its inaugural award.
²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵÃâ·Ñ°æapp and WIG Award is presented at the WIG's annual conference. The winning state legislator receives a plaque recognizing her efforts. In addition, the awardee receives national recognition in Kennedy Center media, including print and online publications.
