Zen Stokdyk joined the National Symphony as the associate librarian at the start of the 2016–2017 season. From 2012 to 2016, Zen was the orchestra librarian for Northwestern University in Evanston, IL, as well as the librarian for the Chicago Philharmonic. Previously, they were the library fellow for the Civic Orchestra of Chicago and have been a freelance librarian in the Chicago area for the Joffrey Ballet, Camerata Chicago, and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra MusicNow series.
Zen is originally from Indiana and studied bassoon performance throughout college, holding a Bachelor of Music degree from Ball State University, a Master of Music degree from Yale University, and a Certificate in Performance from DePaul University.
