Presented by Venturi Astrolab

Astrolab is a California-based small business that is developing the Flexible Logistics & Exploration (FLEX) fleet of rovers, designed for crew transport, last-mile cargo delivery, scientific exploration, and adaptive utility—all on a single commercial platform. Since its founding in 2020, Astrolab has been developing the commercial FLEX rover (FLEX-C), focusing extensively on hardware design, early testing, and strengthening the commercial case for the rover platform. Company founder Jaret Matthews, a pioneering expert in off-planet mobility systems, and his team of innovators in complex space systems and robotics built and tested a full-scale terrestrial rover in 2 years and are on track to perform their first commercial lunar mission in 2026. In March 2024, Astrolab was one of three companies selected by NASA to advance capabilities for a lunar terrain vehicle (LTV) that Artemis astronauts will use to expand exploration of the lunar surface, conducting scientific research during the agency’s Artemis campaign at the Moon and preparing for human missions to Mars.
