David Eicher
Editor, writer, and astronomy popularizer. He has been the Editor-In-Chief of Astronomy Magazine since 2002 and has authored, coauthored, or edited 21 books on science and American history. Eicher founded Deep Sky Monthly at age 15 and has extensively researched and written about the American Civil War. He began his career at AstroMedia Corp. in 1982, later joining Kalmbach Publishing Co. and rising to associate editor.
His notable works include The Universe from Your Backyard and Deep-Sky Observing with Small Telescopes.
