Capoeira Barro Vermelho USA
Capoeira Barro Vermelho USA was founded in January 2010 in Washington, DC by Mestre Bomba. It is a non-profit community organization with the mission to educate, promote, and inspire cultural enrichment through the art of capoeira. The organization achieves its mission by providing capoeira and music classes to children and adults, community programming, international cultural exchanges, workshops, and performances. Capoeira Barro Vermelho USA is an offshoot of its Brazilian predecessor, which was founded in 1993 in Salvador, Bahia Brazil. We invite everyone of every age, size, and origin to “play” capoeira with us and become apart of this dynamic and diverse community.
